Malls or Meadows - Unit Reflection
Throughout this unit, I have had a lot of personal growth. At the end of last year we were working on the Cookies unit where we were taught how constraints were used in a unit problem such as in Meadows and Malls, and it made it much easier for me to understand really what a constraint means and how to read graphs that are made of constraints. This unit used both of those skills, which made me more prepared for this unit from the get go. One of the newer things that I learned were matrices. I had never even seen a matrix before in my life, and I am now seeing how useful they can be when trying to determine numbers with multiple variables. I also have a new strategy to solving systems of equations, which is my favorite strategy substitution of variables. Geometry wasn’t really covered much in this unit, as it was mostly about tables, systems of equations, and matrices.
